Fly fishing smallmouth bass (also known by the names Smallmouth, Brownie, and Smallie) is one of the favorite activities regularly done at the St. Louis River. Here is a short (little under 8 minutes) clip of some bass fly fishing activities being done at the river. The Smallmouth bass is a freshwater species belonging to the family of sunfish. This species is definitely one of the most popular game fish sought by most fishermen and anglers in the Americas. Aside from St. Louis River, bass fly fishing can be enjoyed in the most of the Mississippi River basin, Great Lakes and Hudson Bay Basin.
